Job Overview:

Asian Tiger Shipping is a dynamic logistics and shipping company seeking an experienced Accounts Executive to join our financial team in Dubai.

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing financial operations specific to the shipping industry, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the company's financial management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for shipping-related transactions

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Reconcile shipping-related accounts, including freight charges, shipping costs, and revenue streams

Perform detailed financial analysis of shipping operations

Accounts Payable and Receivable

Manage invoicing for shipping services

Process and track payments from clients and to vendors

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions

Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding invoices

Resolve billing discrepancies

Shipping Cost Management

Track and analyze shipping-related expenses

Prepare cost reports for different shipping routes and services

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities

Assist in budgeting for shipping operations

Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with financial regulations in the shipping industry

Maintain accurate documentation for financial audits

Prepare and submit required financial reports to management

Stay updated on international shipping financial regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting within the shipping or logistics industry

Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks preferred)

Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Excellent communication skills in English

Technical Skills:

Advanced Excel skills

Accounting software proficiency

Financial reporting

Cost analysis

Invoice management

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA or relevant professional accounting certification

Experience with international shipping financial systems

Multilingual capabilities

Knowledge of maritime accounting practices
