Job Description
Role Overview – Anantara Hotel is hiring an Accounting Supervisor for a full-time, on-site role based in Bangkok, Thailand. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong financial management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to supervise accounting operations within the luxury hospitality sector while ensuring compliance with financial standards and organizational policies.
Accounting Operations Supervision – You will oversee daily accounting operations by supervising the accounting team, managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
Financial Reporting and Analysis – You will prepare and review financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements by consolidating data, analyzing variances, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to hotel management to support informed financial decision-making.
Month-End and Year-End Close – You will manage month-end and year-end closing processes by coordinating with the finance team, ensuring all journal entries are posted accurately, reconciling accounts, and meeting reporting deadlines in line with Anantara's financial calendar.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management – You will oversee accounts payable and receivable functions by reviewing vendor invoices, approving payments, monitoring outstanding receivables, following up on collections, and ensuring timely and accurate settlement of all financial obligations.
General Ledger and Reconciliation – You will maintain the integrity of the general ledger by performing account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, correcting errors, and ensuring all financial records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.
Budgeting and Cost Control – You will support budgeting and cost control initiatives by monitoring departmental expenses, comparing actual performance against budgets, identifying variances, and working with department heads to implement cost-saving measures and improve financial efficiency.
Compliance and Internal Controls – You will ensure compliance with accounting standards, local tax regulations, and internal financial controls by implementing best practices, conducting internal audits, and maintaining documentation that supports regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
Team Leadership and Development – You will lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team by setting clear performance expectations, providing training and guidance, delegating responsibilities effectively, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing finance department culture.
