Job Description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Essential Duties:

Routine Accounting Procedures:

Manage and maintain all routine accounting functions including Accounts Payable (A/P), journal entries, and monthly account closures.

Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial documentation and transactions.

Financial Operations:

Execute financial operations efficiently, including handling invoices and ensuring timely payments.

Book and verify expenses, ensuring they are recorded correctly in the accounting system.

Monthly Account Reconciliation:

Prepare and reconcile monthly account statements, ensuring that all transactions are accurately reflected and discrepancies are addressed promptly.

Examine supplier invoices for accuracy and manage the payment process to ensure timely disbursement.

Petty Cash Management:

Oversee and manage the company's petty cash operations, ensuring that all expenditures are properly documented and justified.

Conduct regular inspections, process payments, and maintain accurate records of petty cash transactions.

Accounts Payable and Banking Transactions:

Handle and process account payable checks and wire transfers, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

Manage all banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations, maintaining accurate records of all banking activities.

Support and Reconciliation:

Assist various departments with monthly account reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.

Manage and monitor the authorized account reconciliation process to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Audit and Reporting:

Provide supplementary schedules and documentation required for auditing purposes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and complete.

Prepare journal entries and consolidate general ledgers for subsidiary accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Budget Planning and Financial Analysis:

Develop budget plans for various processes and financial activities, aligning with organizational goals.

Review and analyze general ledger accounts regularly to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

Documentation and Tax Computations:

Compile monthly bank statements, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

Prepare and oversee tax computations, including calculations for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and wastages, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience as an Accountant in the UAE.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with general ledger functions.

Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, such as Microsoft Dynamics.

Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Salary: AED 5,500 to 7,500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
