Job Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accountant to join our team in the dynamic marine industry. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of Mesco Marine.

Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

Conduct reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.

Prepare DA/ FDA/ Invoices, coordinate with operations team to ensure timely client invoicing, and follow up on client payments, reporting to management as necessary.

Handle high volumes of day-to-day petty cash transactions efficiently.

Verify supplier invoices and input them into the accounting software.

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Maintain confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups when needed.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the marine industry.

Thorough understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.

Previous experience in the marine industry is a plus.
