Role Overview:

Skyline Outdoor is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records, support financial reporting, and assist with day-to-day accounting operations in Dubai. The role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, monitoring payments and receivables, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accounting records are properly maintained. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial responsibilities accurately and efficiently.

Accounting Operations & Financial Records:

• Manage daily accounting transactions and ensure financial entries are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and organize invoices, receipts, payments, and supporting financial documents.
• Review financial transactions to verify accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
• Maintain updated accounting records and ensure financial information is readily available for reporting and review.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and expense records in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor customer accounts, outstanding receivables, and payment schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of outstanding balances and support timely collection and settlement activities.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:

• Prepare periodic financial statements, accounting summaries, and management reports as required.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile ledger balances, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and make necessary adjustments after appropriate review and approval.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Budgeting & Financial Monitoring:

• Assist with budget preparation, expense tracking, and monitoring of financial performance.
• Review expenses and identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or potential cost-control concerns.
• Support cash-flow monitoring and maintain accurate records of financial movements.
• Provide relevant financial information to management to support planning and operational decisions.

Compliance, Tax & Documentation:

• Maintain accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting principles and company procedures.
• Assist with VAT documentation, supporting schedules, and related reporting requirements where applicable.
• Organize financial documents and provide supporting records for internal and external audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and follow established financial controls.

Internal Coordination & Process Improvement:

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, expenses, payments, and financial documentation.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and relevant stakeholders to resolve accounting queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, documentation, and reporting accuracy.
• Ensure accounting tasks and financial reports are completed within required deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting position. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems. Understanding of VAT procedures and applicable UAE accounting requirements. Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple  responsibilities and meet reporting deadlines. ACCA, CPA, or other relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
