Role Overview – Alpha Emirat is hiring an Accountant for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong technical accounting skills, financial management capabilities, and the ability to manage accounts, maintain financial records, prepare reports, and ensure accurate financial operations within a business environment.

General Ledger and Financial Accounting – You will manage general ledger and financial accounting by recording and posting financial transactions, maintaining chart of accounts, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant with IFRS and UAE accounting standards.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management – You will manage accounts payable and receivables by processing supplier invoices and payments, verifying invoice accuracy and approvals, tracking customer invoices and payments, managing aging reports, following up on outstanding receivables, coordinating collections, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely settlement of financial obligations.

Financial Reporting and Analysis – You will prepare financial reports and analysis by consolidating financial data, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement), conducting variance analysis, analyzing financial performance, preparing management accounts, and providing actionable financial insights to support decision-making.

Month-End and Year-End Close – You will manage month-end and year-end closing by ensuring all transactions are recorded, preparing accruals and prepayments, reconciling balance sheet accounts, closing accounting periods, preparing financial reports, meeting reporting deadlines, and ensuring timely, accurate financial close.

Bank Reconciliation and Cash Management – You will perform bank reconciliations and manage cash by reconciling bank statements with company records, investigating and resolving discrepancies, monitoring cash flow, preparing cash forecasts, managing petty cash, tracking cash movements, and ensuring accurate banking records and cash management.

VAT Compliance and Reporting – You will manage UAE VAT compliance by maintaining VAT records, preparing and filing VAT returns with Federal Tax Authority (FTA), ensuring invoices comply with VAT regulations, coordinating with tax consultants, managing VAT on transactions, tracking VAT receivables and payables, and ensuring accurate, timely VAT compliance.

Budgeting and Forecasting Support – You will support budgeting and forecasting by assisting with budget preparation, preparing financial forecasts, conducting budget variance analysis, monitoring actual performance against budgets, providing budget reports to management, and supporting financial planning activities.

Fixed Assets and Depreciation – You will manage fixed assets and depreciation by maintaining fixed asset registers, recording asset acquisitions and disposals, calculating and recording depreciation, tracking asset locations and conditions, preparing fixed asset schedules, and ensuring accurate fixed asset accounting.

Cost Accounting and Analysis – You will perform cost accounting and analysis by tracking costs by department or project, analyzing cost structures, preparing cost reports, conducting cost-benefit analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, monitoring expenses, and providing cost insights to management.
