Role Overview – RAGA GOODS WHOLESALERS CO. L.L.C is hiring an Accountant with 4+ years of UAE experience and strong VAT/FTA knowledge for a position in Business Bay, Dubai. Immediate joiners are preferred for this role ideal for experienced accounting professionals who can manage financial records, ensure VAT compliance, and support accurate accounting operations.

Financial Record Management – You will manage financial records by recording transactions, maintaining general ledger accounts, processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate, complete financial records that support the company's financial management and reporting.

VAT Accounting and Compliance – You will handle VAT accounting and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and FTA (Federal Tax Authority) requirements by recording VAT on transactions, maintaining VAT records, preparing VAT returns, filing on time, and ensuring the company meets all tax obligations accurately.

Accounts Payable and Receivable – You will manage accounts payable and receivable by processing supplier invoices, managing payment schedules, tracking customer invoices, following up on collections, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments and receipts that support healthy cash flow.

Financial Reporting – You will prepare financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, variance analysis, and other reporting required by management for financial oversight and business decision-making.

Bank Reconciliation – You will perform bank reconciliations by matching transactions, identifying discrepancies, investigating variances, ensuring accuracy between bank statements and accounting records, and maintaining the integrity of financial data.

Audit Support – You will support audit processes by preparing audit schedules, providing requested documentation, responding to auditor queries, coordinating with internal and external auditors, and ensuring audits are completed efficiently.

Compliance and Documentation – You will ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, FTA regulations, and company policies by maintaining proper documentation, following established procedures, and ensuring accounting practices align with regulatory requirements.

Financial Analysis – You will perform financial analysis including budget variance analysis, cost analysis, trend identification, and providing insights that support management decision-making and financial planning.

UAE Experience – 4+ years of UAE accounting experience is required. Your UAE experience ensures familiarity with local accounting practices, business environment, regulatory requirements, and the specific considerations of accounting in the United Arab Emirates.

VAT/FTA Knowledge – Strong VAT and FTA (Federal Tax Authority) knowledge is essential. You must be expert in UAE VAT regulations, VAT accounting, VAT return preparation, FTA filing requirements, and compliance obligations governing UAE businesses.

Accounting Expertise – Strong accounting expertise including comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and the complete accounting cycle is required for professional accounting practice.

Financial Reporting Skills – Financial reporting skills including the ability to prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and analytical reports are important for supporting business management.

Attention to Detail – Strong attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in financial records, ensuring VAT compliance, identifying discrepancies, and upholding quality standards in accounting work.

Organizational Skills – Strong organizational skills are important for managing multiple accounting responsibilities, coordinating various activities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining efficient accounting operations.

Software Proficiency – Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Excel supports efficient accounting operations, reporting, and data management.
