Role Overview – DXB Marine is looking for an experienced Accountant with minimum 2 years of UAE experience to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure accurate accounting operations. Immediate joiners are preferred for this position that requires comprehensive accounting expertise, UAE VAT knowledge, and proficiency with accounting software.

Daily Financial Transactions – You will maintain daily financial transactions and bookkeeping by recording entries, processing invoices, managing receipts, documenting expenses, and ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured in accounting systems for comprehensive financial record-keeping.

Invoice and Voucher Preparation – You will prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers accurately and timely. Proper documentation ensures transactions are properly recorded, supports payment processing, and maintains organized financial records.

Accounts Payable and Receivable – You will handle accounts payable and receivable by processing supplier invoices, managing payment schedules, tracking customer invoices, following up on collections, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments and receipts that support healthy cash flow.

Financial Reporting – You will prepare monthly and yearly financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports that provide visibility into financial performance and support business decision-making.

Bank Reconciliation – You will reconcile bank statements and ledgers by matching transactions, identifying discrepancies, investigating variances, ensuring accuracy between bank records and accounting books, and maintaining the integrity of financial data.

MS Excel Skills – Good MS Excel and computer skills are essential. You should be comfortable using Excel for financial analysis, creating spreadsheets, using formulas, generating reports, and managing accounting data efficiently.

VAT Knowledge – Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, VAT accounting, return preparation, and compliance requirements is important for ensuring the organization meets tax obligations accurately.

Communication Skills – Good communication and organizational skills are important for coordinating with auditors, interacting with management, corresponding with suppliers and clients, and ensuring effective information flow across financial and operational functions.

Attention to Detail – Strong attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in financial records, reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation, and upholding quality standards in accounting work.

Analytical Skills – Good analytical skills are valuable for reviewing financial data, identifying trends, investigating variances, and providing insights that support financial management and business decisions.

Immediate Availability – Immediate joiner is preferred. Candidates who can start quickly will be prioritized as the organization needs someone to assume accounting responsibilities without delay.
