Role Overview – Lumber World Building Material Trading LLC is seeking an experienced Accountant with UAE experience for immediate joining. This position is ideal for accounting professionals with 2-5 years of UAE accounting experience who are proficient in SAP Business One and currently residing in the UAE for face-to-face interview.

Financial Accounting and Bookkeeping – You will manage daily financial accounting operations including recording transactions, processing journal entries, maintaining general ledger, posting invoices and payments, managing accruals and prepayments, reconciling accounts, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and maintaining comprehensive bookkeeping that supports financial reporting and business operations.

SAP Business One Operations – You will utilize SAP Business One system proficiently for all accounting functions including transaction processing, invoice management, payment processing, financial reporting, account reconciliations, inventory accounting integration, customer and vendor master data management, and leveraging SAP B1 capabilities to ensure efficient and accurate accounting operations.

Accounts Payable Management – You will manage accounts payable functions including processing supplier invoices, verifying invoice accuracy and approvals, scheduling payments according to terms, coordinating with vendors on payment matters, maintaining vendor accounts in SAP B1, reconciling supplier statements, managing payment runs, and ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

Accounts Receivable Management – You will manage accounts receivable operations including processing customer invoices in SAP B1, tracking customer payments, following up on outstanding receivables, managing aging reports, coordinating collection activities, reconciling customer accounts, resolving billing disputes, and ensuring healthy cash flow through effective receivables management.

Bank Reconciliation – You will perform regular bank reconciliations by matching bank statements with SAP B1 records, identifying and investigating reconciling items, clearing outstanding transactions, resolving discrepancies, maintaining bank reconciliation documentation, coordinating with banks for transaction clarifications, and ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled accurately and completely.

Financial Reporting – You will prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports using SAP Business One reporting tools. You will generate periodic financial reports, analyze financial data, prepare variance analysis, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and provide financial information to management.

Cost Accounting and Inventory – You will manage cost accounting related to building materials trading including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold calculations, inventory movement accounting, stock reconciliations with warehouse, managing inventory accounts in SAP B1, monitoring inventory levels and values, and ensuring accurate inventory accounting that reflects actual stock positions.

VAT Compliance and Reporting – You will manage VAT accounting and compliance including recording VAT on sales and purchases, maintaining proper VAT documentation, preparing VAT returns, reconciling VAT accounts, coordinating VAT submissions to Federal Tax Authority (FTA), ensuring VAT compliance with UAE tax regulations, and maintaining audit-ready VAT records.

Month-End and Year-End Closing – You will support month-end and year-end closing activities including preparing closing entries, posting adjustments, reconciling all accounts, generating closing schedules, supporting financial statement preparation, coordinating with auditors during year-end, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of closing processes.
