FS Metal is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Metal Trading company in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and maintaining meticulous financial records. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization through effective financial management and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Transactions Management:

Oversee and manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the accounting system.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Review and verify the accuracy of financial reports before submission.

Bank Transactions:

Monitor and check all bank transactions, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of bank statements.

Compliance and Regulation:

Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and accounting standards.

Assist in preparing and filing tax returns and other regulatory filings.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.

Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.

Recommend corrective actions based on financial analysis and reporting.

Close Processes:

Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Policy Development:

Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and processes.

Auditing Support:

Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Management Support:

Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.

Assist in various ad-hoc financial tasks as required by the management.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Proven work experience as an Accountant, with 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in the metal trading or similar industry.

Skills:

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, reconciliation, and standards.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good understanding of local and international financial regulations.

Certifications: Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary:

AED 3,000 to 5,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
